The Watsessing School community is committed to working collaboratively to ensure every student’s success and develop 21st century skills. It is our belief that all members of our school community must join together to provide high standards for all learners.
Watsessing, a Title I school, uses data driven instruction to promote continuous improvement in reading, writing, and mathematics for every student. This is accomplished through differentiated instruction, on-going identification of students and intervention strategies, flexible grouping, and resources provided by Renaissance Learning. Grade level action plans have been developed and implemented and will specifically target skills to enhance student achievement. Continued use of STAR for data analysis and instructional planning will also be infused throughout the year. Title I programs to be offered in the 2017-2018 school year will include: After School Homework Club called W.H.A.M. (Watsessing Honors Achieve More) and a Morning Guided Reading Program.
